Customer service is the front line of any business. They are the people who represent your brand directly to customers. Companies can have popular celebrities smiling on TV to be brand ambassadors, but they do not  interact with customers.

In contrast, customer service personnel not only interact with customers, more often than not, but they also  interact with dissatisfied customers. Still, a study by Dimension Data shows that Customer Satisfaction levels are dropping year on year.
